Naturopathy
Naturopathy is a Natural method of treatment in par with the principles of Nature cure. It does not work on a symptomatic level, but rather goes to the root cause of a disorder, and the purpose is to bring each individual to his or her natural harmonious self. The treatment methodologies adopted in Naturopathy do not cause any side effects, as every other healing agent, like Extracts, Oils, and Herbs used, are very much derived from our own Natural and wild resources.
The theory of the five elements
According to Naturopathy, every person’s ultimate nature is both unified and whole. Which means his/ her body is made up of the elements of nature, namely the Prithivi (Earth). Akash (sky), Vayu(air). Jal(Water) and Tej (Fire) respond to the external influences. The composition of the body is affected by the influence of these five elements, which pervade universally in the internal and external environment. Any disease or disorder arises when there is an imbalance of the five elements of Nature. The strongest element in a person’s constitution has the highest tendency to increase and aggravate, and therefore, that person is susceptible to illness associated with an increase of that element. Our dominant trait (element) waits for stress, shock or fatigue to raise itself and lower the immune system and pulls us down with resulting disease.
Key Principles of Naturopathy:
The Healing Power of Nature (Vis Medicatrix Naturae): Naturopathy recognizes the body's innate capacity to heal itself. Practitioners aim to support and enhance this natural healing process.
Identify and Treat the Cause (Tolle Causam): Naturopathy seeks to identify and address the underlying causes of illness, rather than just suppressing symptoms.
First Do No Harm (Primum Non Nocere): Naturopathy prioritizes gentle and non-invasive treatments that minimize the risk of harmful side effects.
Doctor as Teacher (Docere): Naturopaths educate their patients about their health and empower them to take responsibility for their well-being.
Treat the Whole Person (Tolle Totum): Naturopathy takes a holistic approach, considering the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of an individual's health.
Prevention: Naturopathy emphasizes preventing illness through education and the promotion of healthy lifestyle habits.

Punarva’s Naturopathy Approach
Naturopathy is a distinctive system of traditional and complementary medicine officially recognised by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and is increasingly seen as a valuable model for primary care.
To only treat the disease disregards the very foundation of constitutional Naturopathy Medicine, which works based on preventive medicine. The uniqueness of naturopathy lies in its prioritisation of therapeutic interventions for preventive care. We at Punarva emphasise the importance of foundational elements such as lifestyle-oriented self-care, nutrition, physical activity, and stress-management counselling as initial steps in the process of healing. Following the establishment of these core practices, the focus then shifts to clinical nutrition, which targets the pharmacologic effects of nutrients for specific health conditions, irrespective of the individual's nutritional status. This is subsequently supplemented by herbal medicine and hands-on manual therapies. This unique framework adopted by our mastered physicians provides a cogent complementary approach to conventional medicine which frequently emphasises over-the-counter medications, prescription therapies, or surgical interventions as primary treatment modalities.
